today was the beginning matches of the WCG competition in my school. Ceed, bobo, Cj, Nat and TC took part in the DOTA competition.. representing us (MIT club?), or i tink juz representing themselves. first draft match was against Tommy's team. Ceed chose a Str-type offensive strategy, picking Tiny. Bobo chose the support hero, Vengeful Spirit. Nat used the Str-type Sand King, Cj used Treant and lastly, Tc used Venomancer, coz his Sven was chosen by the opponent team. The other team consisted of Bane Elemental, Enigma, Akasha the Queen of Pain, Sven the Rougue Knight and lastly Lich. It was an interesting match to start off with.. Nat going on top lane with Ceed's Tiny. But to everyone's much surprise, the other team engaged in a 3 vs Nat strategy to get First Blood in the early stages of the game. Ceed failed to fend off the opposing attackers and Nat sacrificed and became the First Blood in juz less than 5 minutes. The 3 vs Nat strategy was cunning, but nevertheless brutal. The plan worked out pretty well and the opposing team were doing fine after that. Both teams pushed down each other's tower. The sad thing is that i had to leave the match in halfway throught as i had lessons... so off i went for my SDT lecture. boring lesson, talked to yumi about cars drifting and stuff through the lesson. after the not so interesting lecture, we proceeded back to the WCG competition site and the match was still going on, not ended yet. to our horror, our team was on the losing side. i wonder if its a strategy problem... they said it was due to the gayness of Sven that owned the whole team. oh well... our team got pressed into the barracks and eventually couldn't hold on for long and lost.. applauds to them for the effort they put in, despite the lost. oh well.. rather sad for them also, they underwent months of draft matches but still lost... the opposing team were lucky perhaps... or they were really pro.. who knows...

okies after DOTA was over, yonghe weekwang daniel went over the Fifa World Cup 2006 Germany XBOX booth to sign up the competition. Yonghe was rather down on his luck, his first game was with a pro in disguise... who killed yonghe 7 - 0 in the first match.. yonghe was kicked out... nevertheless, the loser will get a free XBOX sling Bag, and the winner will get a Adidas Xbox Training Soccer Ball, cool.. but its green, i dun like it. apart from getting the ball, the winner has a chance of competing in the next round, and eventually fighting for a chance to win the ultimate prize, a BRAND NEW XBOX 360. alrite, enough of yonghe's side, weekwang and daniel were lucky as they were put into the same team... meaning they would face off each other. Weekwang beat Daniel 2 - 0 to claim victory. Weekwang got us the ball and Daniel got the Bag.. hahas cool isn't it... meaning weekwang will haf a chance at the next round which is held tomolo.. or was it juz now? i wasn't sure... hahas... den timothy and (i forgot who) won their respective matches also, and got the soccer ball as well.. meaning we haf 3 soccer balls now... hahas... see picture below.
