a couple of days nv blog le, but had fun. mayb do a short summary of the past few days.

21st December 2006
went MOS wif qiuhui, shermian, fish, xuejia, tc and sq.. after putting their bags at my place, we head over to MOS le. at first thought would be quite boring, coz they're all virgin clubbers.. (mayb except for shermian and xuejia who only went once.) den sure wun dance and juz stand at a corner there do nothing, (like underage parties), but to my surprise, they didnt. lolx. it was the I'm Gorgeous event at MOS. music was alittle sucky, lots of retro, almost everywhere oso retro. retro at 54 is still same old retro, but the retro at main arena is meaning retro-rnB songs.. still too some time to pick up the "high-ness" to start the dancing. had a little drink, bacardi breezer 1 for 1 that night, therefore bought 2 sets. its 4 bottles in total. i'm lousy at drinking.. so yup.. the dance was not bad, thanks to the girls, especially qiu (u're really not fat what! seriously, lol-ed..), even though u all first time go, but at least u all still danced, which is COURAGE liao..LOL. well, i believe the kind of feeling in club, can never be felt elsewhere.. hmm after awhile, TC felt back-pain liao.. i tink coz outside was raining, den he had rheumatism or wad, old liao la ... -.- den he went out to rest outside MOS, sitting at the carpark there... guess what? there was a fleet of lamborghini there! i tink total got 12, they counted. black, orange, yellow, all were stock colours for lamborghini. don't see green though. lolx. some pics taken at MOS there:

MIT 3 on 3 basketball matches postponed till today, it was last minute announced, so quite a number of groups didnt attend the basketball match.. so they were disqualified. well, out of 9 groups, 4 groups disqualified... -.- so i felt like the competition is abit pointless lor... zzz... and unexpectedly, there was an injury. due to my noob-ness in first-aiding, i cant help much, can only watch...

apparently, jiaming fractured his Talus bone.

"The talus is a critical bone of the ankle joint. It connects the leg and the foot. The talus is involved in multiple planes of movement. It joins (articulates) the ankle joint and is responsible for the upward and downward movement (dorsiflexion and plantarflexion) of the ankle. In addition, it joins the heel bone (the calcaneus) where it is responsible for the majority of the inward and outward movement (inversion and eversion) of the foot. Injuries of the talus may therefore effect both the ankle and subtalar joint and affect multiple planes of movement of the foot and ankle. These injuries range from relatively minor chips or fragments that are broken off the edges of the talus to very serious fractures that can be quite devastating." - Adapted From the Medical Files of "Caring For Your Ankle" by Derrick.

The time between the injury time and "medical attention seeked" time will proof to be very crucial, each minute or even second makes a difference... A Talus dislocation requires urgent treatment to avoid permanent damage to nerves and blood vessels, which can be pinched between bones. but when the accident happened out of the blue on that day, from the time when he fractured his leg, to the time he reached the hospital, it might haf well took a devasting 1HR long... i guess the wait would haf caused him his basketball career.

"The goal of treating fractures of the talus is to maximize the movement of the ankle and subtalar joints, restore the anatomic dimensions of the bone and prevent arthritis of either of the above joints. This is not easy because of the magnitude of the fracture that commonly occurs in the most serious injuries. Arthritis may develop, or even worse, there may be a loss of blood supply to the bone. This loss of blood supply is one of the more devastating problems associated with fractures of the talus. In order for the bone to survive and heal after a fracture, it needs blood circulation. One of the problems commonly associated with certain severe fractures of the talus is that the blood circulation to this bone is damaged, leading to partial death of the bone (called avascular necrosis). Not all fractures of the talus lead to the development avascular necrosis. thats all about the Talus dislocate person.. anyways hope he can recover in due time... after correcting the dislocation, the doctor will put a fiberglass cast, splint, or air cast on the ankle so that it will heal in its proper place. if surgery takes place, it'll be required to place in cast for up to 6 weeks.
